In a recent interview and pictorial for The Star magazine, ATEEZ reflected on how far they’ve come since their debut!

After posing for the magazine’s September issue, the ATEEZ members sat down to chat about their experience in a post-shoot interview. Seonghwa shared, “Before this shoot, I went back and looked at our pre-debut pictorial for The Star. Our vibe today was really different from our vibe back then, which made me feel like we’ve grown a lot.” Hongjoong chimed in with a laugh, “I really liked how you could see that our members’ visuals had been upgraded compared to before our debut.”

Although it’s been less than two years since their debut, ATEEZ has already earned a reputation for their powerful dancing and intense performances. When asked if there was anything special they did to prepare before they went on stage, Hongjoong replied, “Because our choreography is very intense, we all do a lot of stretching before we go up on stage, without needing to be told to do so.”

He added, “Since rehearsals for most music shows take place in the morning, we try to stretch, warm up, and really get our energy levels up.”

ATEEZ recently made a successful return with their double title tracks “INCEPTION” and “THANXX,” marking their first comeback in over six months—a long hiatus by ATEEZ’s standards. Describing what was most difficult about that time, Yeosang remarked, “We had a hard time during our long hiatus because we really missed our fan club ATINY.”

Meanwhile, Mingi revealed that he’d worked even harder on preparing for this comeback because it marked the beginning of a new series of albums (following the conclusion of their “TREASURE” series earlier this year). “Because we were starting a new album series, we had to work on producing a wide variety of new raps,” recalled the rapper. “That part was a bit difficult.”

As for where they thought they’d be five years from now, Jongho replied, “I think we’ll be continuing to enjoy every aspect of our work, just as we do now.” Yunho confidently declared, “We’ll still be together with ATINY,” before playfully adding, “and we’ll also be shooting the cover of the September 2025 issue of The Star.”

Finally, when asked to send a message to their fans, Wooyoung remarked, “ATEEZ will continue to show a lot of growth and improvement in the future, so please look forward to us.” San chimed in, “Our pictorial came out looking very pretty, so please look forward to it a lot. We’ll work hard to become an ATEEZ that grows and improves even more in the future.”
